Commissioner of Prisons Administration & Rehabilitation and Media Spokesman at Sri Lanka Prisons Department Director Training at Sri Lanka Prisons Department

Chandana has joined Sri Lanka Prisons Department in 1985 as a Jailor (Class II) and advanced through his way to become the Commissioner of Prisons Administration & Rehabilitation and Media Spokesman at present. During his tenure as the Training Director he pioneered the introduction of a Training Manual to the department and initiated the 2-day Out Bound Training for all training batches. He obtained his Master of Public Administration Degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayawardenapura. He is serving as a Visiting Lecturer in Diploma in Criminal Psychology and Offender Counseling, Diploma in Sociology at University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
